Mary is a warm, curious, and empathic Clinical Psychologist, who believes therapy should be individualised to each person’s specific treatment needs. She takes a collaborative approach with clients to enable meaningful growth towards their goals. Mary believes people have inner wisdom to solve their problems, and find meaning and purpose within their lives, and she hopes to help empower individuals with self-awareness and evidence-based skills to guide them towards reaching their goals. To do this, Mary aims to offer a safe, non-judgemental space, where people can feel heard, understood, and hopeful.
Mary is passionate about working with adolescents and adults and has extensive experience working across private and public hospital settings and in private practice. Mary is experienced in the assessment and treatment of a range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, obsessive-compulsive related issues, body-image issues, interpersonal difficulties, emotional dysregulation, chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Mary uses a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness based approaches, and Schema therapy.
Mary is a fully registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
