Catherine is compassionate and affirming psychologist who strives to create a supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic space. She works alongside clients, taking the time to explore their unique challenges and strengths to foster greater self-awareness and improve wellbeing.
Catherine has worked across various settings, including community mental health, NGOs, and university clinic. She has experience with a range of presentations and has a particular interest in working with adults presenting with anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, and long-term health conditions.
Catherine utilises a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, integrating treatments according to individual needs and preferences. She draws from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
In addition to her work with clients, Catherine is also undertaking PhD research exploring loneliness and social isolation among people with endometriosis.
Catherine is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is currently completing her registrar program in Clinical Psychology. Catherine is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and an associate member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
