Nerida is a compassionate and warm clinical psychologist known for her empathetic approach. Committed to client-centred care, she creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals of all ages feel understood and valued.

 

With extensive experience in private practice, hospital, and community health settings, Nerida has worked with people of all ages and from a diverse range of backgrounds. She supports clients dealing with a range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal issues, grief and loss, addiction, cognitive changes, low self-esteem, major life transitions, and personality disorders.

 

Nerida utilises a range of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Schema Therapy. She also incorporates mindfulness, Chair Work, and compassion-focused interventions into her practice. By integrating these methods, Nerida collaborates closely with clients to develop personalised and effective strategies tailored to their unique needs and goals.

 

Nerida is an avid traveller and loves to immerse herself into different cultures to learn about people from around the world. She devotes her weekends to finding the best coffee and croissants in Sydney. She is also dedicated to continuing to grow her knowledge, therapeutic skills and expertise in treating mental health challenges and helping people reach their potential and maintain wellbeing.

 

Nerida is a fully registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is currently on the board of the NSW Section of the Australian Clinical Psychologists Association (ACPA). 

 

Nerida is available Monday afternoons, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
