Lindsey Procter

Clinical Psychologist

Lindsey is a compassionate Clinical Psychologist with a collaborative, non-judgemental and strengths-based approach. She provides individuals with a safe space to explore their experiences and the impact these have on their lives. Lindsey aims to support clients to build rich, full, and meaningful lives regardless of the challenges they may be facing.

 

Lindsey’s therapeutic style is responsive to the specific needs of each client, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy.

 

Lindsey has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has published peer reviewed research on preventing internet gambling related harm. She also has a Master’s in Human Resource Management and enjoyed a career in Human Resources in London and Hong Kong before becoming a Psychologist, and so understands the challenges of high-performance environments.
 

Lindsey has experience with clients of all ages and from diverse backgrounds in private practice, hospital, and community health settings, both individually and in groups. She has a special interest in (but is not limited to) supporting adult and adolescent clients experiencing difficulties associated with anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, addiction, emotional dysregulation, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-esteem, and exam, workplace, and parental stress.

 

Lindsey divides her time between work and her family, and is committed to maintaining a healthy work life balance. She regularly practises mindfulness and, where appropriate, recommends it as part of a broader treatment approach to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

 

Lindsey is a registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia . Lindsey is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
