Shahn is a warm and non-judgemental Clinical Psychologist. He works with his clients to increase life quality, taking a holistic approach to bring about sustained change. He aims to work with each person in a tailored application of psychology, to reduce suffering, build resilience and cultivate inner contentment.
Shahn is an experienced relationship counsellor and he has a passion for improving communication, increasing validation and fostering connection in relationships. He also helps individuals and couples with sexual issues.
Shahn also enjoys using mindfulness based psychology and coaching to assist those who describe feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, or a rut, to enact change in one or multiple areas of their life, including weight/lifestyle issues, substance use, depression, anxiety, relationships, and work.
Shahn has over 15 years experience in the treatment of mental health disorders in a variety of settings, including private practice and crisis intervention in both community and hospital settings. In addition, he has worked extensively with Personality Disorders and individuals who have difficulty with emotion regulation and interpersonal relationships, with experience facilitating Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and implementing Schema Therapy.
Shahn is a fully registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. He is also a member of the Australian Psychology Society and fellow of the Clinical College.
