Helen is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist committed to working with individuals and couples in a collaborative and empathic manner. She strives to explore, understand and ameliorate one's vulnerabilities with the aim to reduce suffering, enhance psychological resilience, and foster meaningful change. Helen is passionate about working with people who are feeling stuck in life and those of us who are struggling to adjust to changes in life – no matter how seemingly big or small.
Helen has extensive experience in public mental health settings and is confident working with people with chronic mental health issues, complex trauma and personality disorders. Helen is passionate about working with individuals with body image and eating difficulties and works from a compassionate and non-diet focused approach to address weight-related issues.
Helen has extensive experience facilitating Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) group programs and individual DBT therapy. Helen has also run a number of mindfulness groups and is personally committed to the practice of mindful meditation.
Helen is a fully registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a full member of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST), a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a fellow of the Clinical College.
